The Joshua Tree

Mormon pioneers are said to have named this species "Joshua" Tree because it mimicked the Old Testament prophet Joshua waving them, with upraised arms, on toward the promised land.

Agora gostaria que me dessem as vossas opiniões sobre os U2 terem dado o nome desta planta aquele que considero o seu segundo melhor álbum (depois de Rattle and Hum)...

Já agora:

rat·tle1 ( P ) Pronunciation Key (rtl)v. rat·tled, rat·tling, rat·tles v. intr.
To make or emit a quick succession of short percussive sounds.
To move with such sounds: A train rattled along the track.
To talk rapidly and at length, usually without much thought: rattled on about this and that.

hum ( P ) Pronunciation Key (hm)v. hummed, hum·ming, hums v. intr.
To emit a continuous low droning sound like that of the speech sound (m) when prolonged.
To emit the continuous droning sound of a bee on the wing; buzz.
To give forth a low continuous drone blended of many sounds: The avenue hummed with traffic.

Rattle and Hum foi provavelmente uma homenagem a todas as mulheres do mundo...rsrsrsrsrs
